iPhone comes with flexible interface, simple and consistent user experience function that most users are already familiar with. Though, some users presume that Apple unveils iPhone annually just to upgrade its operating system, optimize outlook, accessories, and other mobile features. The recent worldwide developer’s conference anchored by Tim Cook unraveled some IOS hidden features unrecognized by non-developers who wonder why iPhones cost twice the amount than other phones. This means that the cost of these features are part of the price you paid when you bought your new iPhone.

iPhone is upgraded with;

Improved Widgets:

Customized Home Screen:

Message Icons, App Clips & Libraries, Unique Media Features:

There are features hidden on iPhone app libraries, operating systems, app chips, and car-play multi-tasking features.

IOS operating systems are designed to control old and new versions of IOS devices. For instance, IOS 12.4.1 and IOS 13 correlate perfectly with older versions of iPhone. Do you know that they also have unique features like dark mode email address sign-in, video editing, and audio sharing improved features, revamp reminders and competent memos settings, apple map mails, and dependable shortcuts.

On your iPhone, you can send an unknown caller a direct voicemail message by using the “Silence Unknown Caller” (Go to Settings > phone > Silence Unknown Caller).

User privacy has become a topic of deliberation for iPhone users, prompting Apple to include the “DND Wall” (Do Not Disturb) option, previewed to limit the disruption of privacy and silence call/message distractions & notifications (Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb> Phone> Click on allow calls from your selected contact lists). You may choose to single out users as favorites from the list using “Emergency Bypass” settings.

Recent IOS 13 comes with a configured Apple Car play interface with dashboard and dark mode features that mimic your car display settings, allowing you to control car media and default settings for other devices. Apple Car play helps users to deploy music-streaming from apple and amazon music, Spotify, and Pandora, while authenticating Google GPS location map (Go to iPhone settings > check the display & bright option> select appearance> Turn-on GPS direction). You can control all car applications and even authenticate IoT smart devices like smart garage door opener, audio, refrigerator, TV, PC, etc. Smart web widgets and change settings are recent inclusions on iPhone, making it possible to optimize webpages, change font size, and reader functions.

Are you worried about your battery health?

iPhone battery like other rechargeable batteries weakens due to an overload of currents that reduces its peak performance. To prevent battery overcharge, go to settings> battery > battery health >enable optimized Battery charging to routinely maintain 80% maximum charging Users can control volume using a soft-touch overlaying screen, other than pressing the up or down volume button on the left side of their phones.

Another feature most users pay for and don’t use is the “3 Finger Undo” option. Instead of retyping or searching for an undo option, you can just “Go to settings> click on accessibility> touch>Shake to undo. (NB: the settings will enable you to use a three-finger tap to undo and triple finger swipe left to redo typing).

After the release of IOS 14, Apple employees outlined features rarely used by iPhone users. Their cheat sheet features include Siri and App Clips options. IOS 14 updated home screen, media, and widgets will enable users to hide pages of apps installed or apps they don’t want others to see. The app library feature on the iPhone home screen permits users to organize app categories/folders to aid easy navigation.

Picture in Picture (PIP)

Picture in Picture (PIP) was first introduced as a video mode on apple iPad IOS before its recent appearance on iPhone IOS 14. PIP mode allows users to leave video players on while surfing the web or using their mobile phones. You can flexibly resize or push it by the side while watching movies, audios, and Facetime video calls.

The Siri Voice assistant tool was integrated to offer virtual support to users who intend to work smarter using its compact design and translation assisting tools.

Finally, do you think you are utilizing more of the features you paid for in your recent iPhone or not?
